That last one was just using the phone, I was just wanting to see what it looked like through the Optrel lens and I think it may have potential. Not sure whether the phone, or for that matter my digi camera has exposure settings, they likely do but then I don't have a clue what adjustments would be best anyway so.......
Might give it another go at some stage but what I have had so far has helped me see what is going on as I can see the wire feeding, would be nice to get rid of the bright arc so that I could see in more detail but not too bothered if I can't with the equipment I have.
A tiny camera inside the helmet I am wearing would be ideal as it would mean I don't have to try and work around a fixed camera and would mean I could get a comfortable natural welding position. I think however if there is such a camera available it would likely be expensive. It would be good if I could strip the camera out of a phone and extend the wiring so that the phone could be mounted outside the lid, might give that a go at some point, if I get bored
