just dont forget the pulley goes back towards the motor to release it from the taper , IMSMC..

Yea I got that from the nice vid @Ruffian posted . It'll all be going back together shortly .Depends what time I get finished some pics to follow .

Well . pulley off no prolem ( thanks to the forum )


it's pretty heavy and its a

so a slitting disc and hacksaw made this

then some precision engineering ( file and belt sander )

I did rattle a bit of lidl finest metal paint on it. and refitted


never touched the cage and now have enough clearance in all directions just need the shorter belt now and line it up. And a thanks to @Kram for the offer of some lathe work .

The new belt arrived yesterday and was a bit of a calculated guess at the length I knocked 60mm of the old belt ( new one an SPA 1132 ) all lined up and running .

not the best of views , I'll keep an eye on intial stretch when it's run a bit .

Now if you had a lathe, you could have used this to justify the cost of the new toy with the Mrs!

Good try even I wouldn't get away with that , you know I'm interested in one them there spinny things and i'm hoping it's never gonna be the right time !
