How to print TXT messages

I need to print out a txt conversation. Has anyone done this? Im Looking into using txt messaging as a log for my compo claim. Ive an old iphone i can use as the receiving unit, i’ll use andriod phone to send the log.
Is one easier to print from than the other?

did think about this but it would be to lengthy. Also needs to be in document format .doc, .txt for editing/Collating

How about creating a word document and inserting the screenshots as images into the document, in chronological order. Add your own comments, contents of emails, and the like, to this document. Alternatively, print the screenshots and keep them as paper hard copies, arranged in order together with the other claims documentation.

Plain txt documents are just that, meaning they could be edited, whereas a screenshot could reasonably be taken as an unedited version of events in a legal case.

The legal eagle types will be along in a minute to confirm or deny the above.

Could you use whatsapp instead? You get an automated daily back up and has the option to export chats into time stamped text documents.

There are plenty apps for saving texts to csv, pdf etc.
Never used any so you would have to try and see if they suit your needs
I typed in sms to word and got this in play store.

^^ This, I used one and it pulls out the dates and times etc into a nice Excel sheet. Perfect for insurance etc.

Typing at same time as Parm, I meant the apps...

I use My Phone Explorer for backup etc of my phone and just looked, it is possible to select text messages and save in various formats. One is .txt where you can get an editable file but another is html which is non editble but may be better for legal purposes.

Got both.

not sure its going to do what i wanted which was a set of shortcuts to a prewrtten txt. But it looks like my phone wont allow me to set them up

Use screen shots.
If the other party produces something that does not match with yours whatever you have edited will be discounted.

Volume down and power button together on Android should give you screenshots without 3rd party software.
