Can someone please explain this above comment to me? It is doing my head in trying to understand what it should mean.
Tie them up with duct tape fold them up, stick them in the bin & hoist it up. Even Houdini would find it hard to escape.
There was a lad at Thames marine, started as a cleaner, really mouthy annoying git. On his second week he rolled one of the fork lift trucks over out on the road where it should not have been. Got away with that lord knows how (i suspect he was related to one of the management).
He was downright rude to all the laminators in the moulding shop where he worked & they got the right ache.
He found another job & on his last day about 9:00am he was set upon by a bunch of the laminators & trussed like a turkey, wrists tied together behind his back & feet tied to his wrists, face down on a stack of pallets in the middle of the factory they put his broom down the neck of his shirt neck so the handle came out of the seat of his jeans. He was then fire hosed down & a bucket of **** thrown over him.
He spent all day like that, shouting swearing & raging about how horrible they all were. Works manager came in with one of the directors, mouths opened & closed like fishes. They went away. At the end of the day we all went home & he was still there.
I met him in the pub 20 years later, he was just the same & the experience hadnt changed him for the better!

We did very similar to the bosses nephew that was a mouthy little git.
We asked first and boss said just dont hurt him...
He ended up locked in a 5x3' site box for and hour after hours on a Friday, we just sat around drinking tea at the other end of the basement.
He probably thought we'd gone home
We had to lift him out and force feed him some tea as he couldn't walk or talk and had been crying his eyes out.
Far less lippy after that though

At my previous workplace (a large multinational) the apprentices would get duct taped to the underside of the canteen tables if they were mouthy. Or if it was their birthday. Or any reason at all, for that matter, usually because the older lads were bored....
This wasn't "years and years back" This was only 2-3 years back... I bet they're still doing that sort of stuff now
In fairness, the few that did it only picked on the lads that could take it... some of them couldn't. I don't think it was a bad thing, it never got out of hand.

It really pees me off when people do that. Just get to the point & cut the dramatics.
