How to keep A and increase speed of feeder.

hello everyone,

I want to increase speed of feeder and keep A to weld, because I am welding in thin steal with fast speed 0.8m/min. the wire can not fill at point welding.

So what will i do.

Im using MegaTec NB-255e

I am no miggist but I don’t know whether I would even attempt thin wall tube with .8 wire, try .6.

Current is defined by wire speed, volts, stick out and wire diameter.

If you change one you will change others. To get back to the amps you had you will need to increase volts and probably your travel speed.

Remember that MIG is a CV process (Constant Volts) and not a CC process like Tig (Constant Current).

I'd be Tig welding that.

I want to increase travel speed. May I use another feeder controller circuit? I will disconnect all wires which connect with motor in the feeder.

No.

If you increase the speed you will need to increase the wire feed speed which will increase the current and cause blow through.

You need to first change to 0.6mm wire as 8ob has already said.
