How to join multiple cables in a chandelier?

You've obviously never met any American sparks.
They are still the defacto standard over the pond, and they will not be convinced otherwise, despite most of the world no longer using them due to the issues they cause.

was watching gold rush on tv and the main shaker deck motor packed in they took the motor connection plate off and the screw joints were burnt out and knacked the motor at least ours dont burn out unless the electrician didnt tighten the lugs and nuts up tight

Wago for the win! Screwfix have different sized Wago boxes too. Makes a neat & safe job of stuff like this.

With the wago connectors, they are great but how would you fit wago boxes in the chandelier or back up into the ceiling above the rose?

My dad, a time served electrical type, told me they were considered rubbish, bad practice, and a good cause of fires back in the 1950s!

I found a few porcelain ones, "scruits" in my house - swiftly removed and replaced by something sensible.

Still found in US domestic and industrial use - sold by the big box full in US DIY stores. . . and still cause US house fires from broken, high resistance, cores over heating.

Junk compared to the modern day replacements

if you have to keep in time and keep it original well you have to use them

porcelain ones exist for a reason so that old ones can be replaced

but what you dont know is the plastic ones are well used in the junk imported into this country ive had to strip many chanderler lights down to find the fault caused by an idiot who wired it wrong and blew the lights fuse imediatley on brand new bought lights still in there boxes as i had to build the damn things up all wiring was prewired

only metal ceiling rose had the plastic wire block

you dont and cant. its crimped end conectors in the chandelier cup at the bottom and strip conectors up in the rose . most are 3 plate wiring. now the feeds are wired at the switches and only one wire l.n.e up to the light . much better

These looks like the ones I uncovered. Little porcelain thimbles with a spiral cast inside. Twist the wires together then screw these over the twist?
Instant fire starters.

TBF I can't remember JW or Efixx doing a review on them

I've found them too, in cheap (and not so cheap), ceiling fans.

Add in a bit of vibration and even more a recipe for disaster.

Going to guess its 0.75mm cable, twist 2 together and double up in a 5way Wago. No issues doing that.

you can barely get crimped ends in the bottom cup and because there separate the wires curl round inside, if i had a quid for every light fitting ive put up and rewired over 50 years id be a rich man
