After treading on other people's toes, I thought I'd start another thread, which has probably been discussed before.
wozzaaah posted a diagram of what penetration should be. I did as adviced and that was to leave a gap between the pieces that I was welding and here is the result together with the diagram. It appears the weld only went in about 1mm and that was on a voltage setting of 4 out of 6 on the left weld and 5 out of 6 on the right. The pieces are 4mm and the ambient temperature I'm working in is about 3°C. I also think that those splatters shouldn't be there. Any advice please?
