How to get rid of the smell from drain clearance?

I have just been out to clear a kitchen drain, which necessitated sticking my arm down to fetch out all the blockage. As expected I stink now, even after washing twice in washing up liquid. 'Er indoors is complaining that she can smell it from the other room and I have just been given my dinner in isolation. Is there a foolproof method, bar the bath I will have later?

Get Er indoors to do it, you won’t stink then

when yo do it next time, put your arm in a plastic bag (pedal bin liners are ideal) grab the blockage, haul out and pull the bag down your arm and leave the rubbish in the bag.

Seriously, you might find veg oil rubbed in copiously and then washed off will stop the smell.

That's might not be as strange a suggestion as it sounds.

I've cleansed the smell from mountain biking shoes by placing them in a bag with cut up onion - also works in a car.

Yes, watered down bleach, soon get rid of the smell. I keep a spray bottle of home mixed water/bleach next to the kitchen sink, use it for loads of cleaning purposes, far better than the dozens of oddball fake sprays you pay a fiver for in Tesco. .

I spent the afternoon making an antenna from a giant coil of ex-army wire that rats had been relieving themselves in. The stink wasn't too bad at the time, but there's a lingering whiff I can't get rid of.
Spray bleach diluted, I'll try that tomorrow, because I'm not finished with it yet.

Watch your hygiene doing that, rat urine can give you weils disease which can be fatal, a friend of mine died from it in the 80's
