How to fix a so called woggle?

This stoopid thing. It's my GF's, not really thinking about it, I untied it so it looks like this;

It needs to go back to how it was and I've got no idea how. Her scout friends had the excellent advice of "oh yeah, just don't undo it in the first place." Thanks for the help.

Can someone please try to explain how to make it look like the first picture again(without using a knife and superglue)?
Oh, did I mention she leaves for the world scout jamboree in Japan tomorrow, no pressure then.
