How to fix a leaky air bed

I was thinking bike patch but the material is not rubber it is more like a pvc material would I be better off trying to melt it with a solder iron to fix the hole the hole is tiny 1mm

If it’s anything like a kiddies paddling pool, then Gorilla Tape Crystal Clear should do the trick.

Our cat keeps on puncturing the paddling pool and the clear Gorilla is doing a grand job so far! Stuck yet another patch on this morning and it’s still inflated. As long as you found odd the corners of the patch it should be fine. Square corners get caught on things and peel off easily.

its kind of the same material as a pool yes, not sure gorilla tape will do it its a double bed. I have some bike patches might try one

your lightly to only get one go at it as once the glues on as you try to remove it for a 2nd go it will rip or damage more

What about one of those kits for repairing inflatable boats?

They usually come with a repair kit, which is little more than a bike puncture kit. The patch is usually just a circular patch, of the mattress material.

Halfords sell kits of self adhesive puncture repair kits. I used a dozen such patches on a big airbed we had that had been in the loft, freezing cold, and it cracked on all the sharp corners where it had been folded. Every patch worked well, just peel and stick.

my bike puncture repair kit didnt stick seems the vulcanizing glue dont stick to the pvc type plastic!

Tape. Give it a try - just peeling it off the roll is hard enough - really sticky stuff, and very flexible.

depends on what girl friend hes got a rubber one glue one with skin tape to keep the mouth shut

Cheers mate yes i am near bromley. I ordered a roll from toolstation the mrs has used regular gaffer tape for now with super glue!

I always grabbed whatever gaffa/duct tape was available. Gorilla all the way now! Only just getting into the clear stuff, but well impressed so far!
