How to dry desiccant?

I just ruined my desiccant, it is permanently dark brown green now even though it's dry. I checked instructions, it is supposed to be dried at 120 C max, but a gas oven at gas mark 1 only goes down to 140 C.

Other ideas for drying the stuff?

Depending on quantity, just leave it on top of a radiator?

airing cupboard microwave hot cupboard if u use the microwave use the low power setting or defrost or it will go the same way.

Yeah as above - gas creates water as a product of combustion so a gas oven is not usually recommended for drying.

The orange indicator in the silica gel is Methyl violet, and I suspect that it is that that is affected, because the moisture absorbing qualities are still there.

aparantly you can do it bit stiring it round in a pan on a cooker (if you look at the videos on youtube)..... I accidently baked some in an oven at 150C, it ended up going black needed throwing away.

Exactly that has happened to mine
