Rotary broach.
Not just square holes that can be drilled but hexs octos splines etc.

My drill shop sells the parrot drills[poly gone].
I looked at them, seriously expensive but it looked like you could
probably copy them.
I mentioned them on a web page and got a lot of mails over the last 15 years asking about, mostly yanks wanting to know where you could buy them. One bloke had needed square holes and he found the patent and copied it, I only really only remember he made the 'drill' from the tang of an old file; he said it worked fantastically well though.
