How to Clear a Workshop - Advice Please

A good friend asked me to help his wife clear his workshop after he was gone. He passed away in October. Went to see it last week & making a start today.
Fortunately most of the stuff & machines are not too big so easily moved with a big sack barrow that he had. Im starting clearing the timber out today, start on the tools & machines next week. He was well set up for building guitars so there is some quite specialized stuff there including jigs & patterns, quite what i do with those im not sure yet!
From my experience selling machines & tools homeworkshop.org is a first class site for selling stuff, Strangely a small injection molding set up i acquired sold on there better than hot cakes. My mate said "Scrap that, we will never sell that all the time our backsides point south". I could have sold it 20 times over! Big machines are going to be problematic if they are in poor condition or old & damaged & often worth scrap money only.
Smaller nice stuff carries a premium.
I would usually avoid dealers & auction houses but it sounds like you may not have an option. Constraints on time & space will be the decider.

A figure of speech! the polite verion of "You will never sell that all the time you have a hole in your *****!
My wifes car has a big cargo of good timber on board plus the start of the tools. Looks like i have found a home for most of the guitar stuff already.
Back next week to carry on. Trouble is its becoming an all to frequent job.

Try Home and Workshop at Sidcup, they may be interested, or know someone who will.

I knew them as far back as the 80s, They're good lads and if it's in Croydon it's an easy pick up for them, well worth a phone call..

Thanks again for the replies. A few options there. I've been round and got a list of the kit that is in there - lots of mills, a big lathe, and three, large injection moulding machines (which I've been told don't work). I've listed out all the kit below except for one of the injection moulders as I couldn't find a name plate. I do have pictures too but for the time being it'd just be good to know if this stuff has any value because the access to the site isn't great. The track up the workshop is filled with dumped waste which would need clearing first and it's also not very wide. A large flatbed van would get up there but not an HGV and that doesn't leave much room for lifting equipment etc. Finally, the workshop itself only has a standard, single door in it! Apparently they built one of the walls after they put the kit inside so the cost of taking that down and replacing needs weighing up against the value of the machinery. Any thoughts on age and value would be good. I'd assume most of it dates from the 70s, although the Milwaukee mill is a beaut and looks older - 30s/40s perhaps. Would be a real shame to scrap any of it but particularly the older stuff that wouldn't look out of place at the Science museum. Anyway, here's the list:
