How small are chocolates getting

We deliver milk into cadburys Marlbrook (Leominster ) ,
They don't accept milk with high butterfat content ( e.g. Jersey cow milk (gold top) so. None e of that gets sent there. I've had a tanker load rejected because it was just over .....
So just bog standard milk
Personally I like milka alpine chocolate ,I think it's calledyou don't see often tho ,
As for hot choclate has to be suchard , but I've never seen it in the uk .

Does smell nice doesn't it, there all owned by the same people now, cadburys, milka and Toblerone. All our butters, liquors and cocoa powder are made depending on the fat content so I wonder weither this has anything to the grade of milk. Going to have to ask the lads in work, about the milk now.

Aldi's Moser Roth is quite good, wifey likes it.

They do an orange and almond flavoured bar, very nice. I'm also quite impressed with Sainsbury's "For cooks" or whatever they call it. Green and Black's is the best though, really like the ginger one.

It's interesting that asking for hot chocolate in France is not chocolate chaud as you might expect, but "Suchard".

Ha. I did not know this. Which is why I've only ever asked for chocolate chaud for my kids!

Yes I work for cadburys and it really depends on what cadburys chocolate you eat on how good of quality it is, what I will say is im pretty sure all dairy milk is now being made it the uk again. As for quality we also make hot chocolate and per 100tonnes 75tonnes is sugar, I've been told legaly or something it has to be 26 percent cocoa and im pretty sure it is 27 . Also its mondelez now and they make a hell of a lot more than just cadburyd chocolate

As someone who might be in the "know", are there no plans for Cadburys to start sourcing ethical palm oil? I'd have thought sales will suffer a bit due to that...

I'm sorry I cant really say I'm the know for that part of it. I usually just get pointed to broken things and told to fix the machines that are between 60 and 100 years old with duct tape and silicone. Or atleast thats what it feels like. I know for the product we bring into our site we use fair trade cocoa beans but not sure how fair trade they actually are and we buy all our sugar from British sugar.

I Used to like a Toblerone but haven't bought it since and never will again, they must think we're complete mugs!

I think someone said it's because too high a butterfat content clogs up the evaporator plates or something like that , ? ?

There used to be a Cadbury factory in Dunedin, New Zealand that was the highlight of any trip to that city, complete with a chocolate fountain and free samples. Alas, thr accountants tried putting palm oil in instead of milk. In a dairy producing country like NZ, this was not well received, big protests and falling sales. They backed down in public, but the damage was done and myself and others have never gone back, buying the NZ made Whittaker instead with is made with milk.
The closed the factory a few years ago and it has just been demolished, with product imported from Australia instead. Thr final nail for many people.
I can't say I care, as Cadbury are dead to me now.
