How much to pay for pub gas?

I have found a pub which is having a closing down sale. I asked them how much they wanted for a CO2 bottle and they said £25 for emty £40 for full.
Is this a bit steep or is it about right? Also will the standard regulator on CLarke 160 TM fit in to it?

i pay £12-13 for a full co2 from the wholesaler..he wants way too much ,walk away

In truth they are prob not his to sell,either, property of the brewery or wholesaler ........as said only 100% co2 ........with nitrogen its only good for guinless

I was thinking he was telling me porkies, said he has been asked by loads of people for some pure co2, probably fed dishing it out by now.
