I've recently upgraded my welder, basically I needed a larger model but also my SIP Migmate 105 had developed a few faults. After some research, these will probably be solved with a new torch, which costs around £25 on eBay. Its around 2-3 years old, by no means worn out but with the current faults I'd say its spares/repair rather than a working machine. The faults are:
- Trigger occasionally sticks on
- Slight gas leak from the torch
- inconsistent wire feed
- 105A is too low power for me, I've upgraded to 150A (not a fault but another reason to upgrade)
With a new torch and wire liner, it should solve 1-3 (maybe not 3?) and I'd throw in the freebies you get with the new welder, ie mask, full bottle of gas, regulator, etc. How much could I reasonably ask for as-is or am I best sticking it on the dreaded eBay at 99p and no reserve?
Thanks for the advice!
