really does depend on where you buy it. If its being delivered it will cost more, if they charge by the meter it may be more than if they charge by weight and vice versa. I have found prices vary alot for raw steel materials

Where in Dorset are you? I have a recycle bin overflowing with bits and pieces of mild steel. I keep telling myself to get it wieghed in, but haven't got a round tuit (not that I woukd get much for it anyway) If you are close you are wlcome to nip round for a few free bits for practicing with.
