Would that not be in the Missing section ?I've got a Porsche 912, they don't even appear on the list![]()

Use this form if you did not receive the log book from the previous owner,Apologies if going slightly off thread but I have a Capri, legitimately purchased, years ago, for cash where the seller never then came up with the promised log book. I've lost touch with him etc. What would be the procedure for getting a logbook in my name? Send a letter to the DVLA?
It was btw a Cat-C. I don't know where he got the car from mind. I have no reason to believe it was dodgy.
Cheers
By way of example:I was going to say the same thing - take the figures "with a pinch of salt".
I do remember seeing a video/film with commentators pronouncing Yamaha and Kawasaki etc. the 60's, quite amusing. The "Colt Car Company" was the name initially used by Mitsubishi, when they thought that people in the UK couldn't pronounce that weird word.
The 1400GLX is a small hatchback, with a strange Hi/Lo transfer gear ahead of the box, described as "Economy" and "Power", giving 8 forward gears and 2 reverse. My SORN'ed example is the only one left.

I knew a chap who worked in Thames Valley Police workshop. When the Omega V6 arrived the traction control switch was removed so they couldn't turn it off. One of the lads found one of the other switches fitted(heated rear window I think) and they were able turn it off.Just looked up what *used* to be my favourite car:
Vauxhall omega MV6 23 left out of 1027 over the same date range.
Mine was a manual estate - ex armed police unmarked response unit.I knew a chap who worked in Thames Valley Police workshop. Many Vauxhalls of that era had performance that seemed to outweigh the numbers.
Years ago a friend had one like that, ex Met police mk2 Lotus Cortina. All black, looked like a standard Cortina, but wide wheels, the only giveaway was the Lotus badge on the back. No idea what had been done to it, but it went like stink.Mine was a manual estate - ex armed police unmarked response unit.
It upset more than a few boy racers off the lights.
I know when Lotus tweaked the omega/carlton they dropped a couple of turbos in it, and upgraded the brakes. same sort of thing for the cortina?Years ago a friend had one like that, ex Met police mk2 Lotus Cortina. Long before the days of turbos, change of cams was my guess. Probably not that quick by todays standards, but a flying machine of the day.I know when Lotus tweaked the omega/carlton they dropped a couple of turbos in it, and upgraded the brakes. same sort of thing for the cortina?
Hi Edward,It would be nice to know how the dips in the line are calculated,
Meaning the line drops, and then the next quarter, the line goes up again,
Is it that a number of vehicles have been scrapped, written off, and then a few more vehicles have been registered ?
I know in the case of the vehicle I am interested in, apparently, only 200 of that 'model' were to be produced.
edit: Or possibly the case, that a vehicle has been on the road and taxed, but not been sorned while it was off the road ?![]()
Always fancied buying a white Omega estate, traffic magically parted when one of those came up behind you. One of the first cars I remember with xenon headlights too, which was a good early warning that a police traffic car was bearing down on you.Mine was a manual estate - ex armed police unmarked response unit.

No not what I am thinking,Hi Edward,
If you are referring to what I think you are, then it is due to the car being taxed for the summer only and sorn'd for the winter (my 1997 Mini comes into that category). You will see some models where this then stops happening which is likely when they become Historic and qualify for free road tax.
