Like these ones i had done Steve. If you take a piece of tube to a good exhaust place they can swage it out for you for peanuts
In a commercial environment I guess it would pay but I might be a few expanders from 3 inch to 4 inch BUT I am using some fairly thick walled pipe as I can get it locally with the shipping expense. If I was to make the correct cone out of some 18th steel I reckon I could bend it to form the cone and weld it between the 3 and 4 inch pipe. I had thought of buying them in but at £29 a pop its a waste of money..time is free money is not!
Yes mate . My logic was if it was easy to do in the garage I would have a go and then test it see how it held up. I tend to use pipe that is available locally to keep fuel costs down when I need some stock. AS I have downsized and using 3 inch instead of 4 1/2 inch I am looking into ways of getting back to standard flue sizes. I think I might try plasmacutting aYour original photo shows the material as not that thick it only looks to be the same section as the stainless my mate uses.1-2mm
It was just an idea, if you had a lathe, you could utilize it I have done and seen it done, and to save you having to buy new kit, with a little fab work you may be able to produce them.Yes mate .
