As in, once you've unscrewed the valve and washed out the water/addatives, could you drink from it?
I want to have a go at making nitro cold-brew coffee, the more normal way would be with a Cornelius keg but in the interest of saving a few quid, I've got a couple of 9L AFFF extinguishers and I'm not planning on burning anything down any time soon (
) so why not re-purpose one?
I could swap the gauge for a gas fitting and dispense with the conveniently included tap.
The valve is stainless and brass so no problems there but I can't find a MSDS for the coating inside (PPA-665 apparently). Anyone know anything about it? Any anecdotes of drinking from one before and not dying?
