How do you take your workshop tea?

Usually coffee except when attending site meetings with building contractors or customers with a strong tradition of tea drinking (*) then it has to be white tea no sugar.
* Years ago when working at the Land Forces HQ I was offered Nato (standard tea, white two sugars), Julie (Andrews, white nun ) or Whoopie (Goldberg, black nun) coffee was not an option.

He's making it all wrong... Milk in last. The milk fats stop the tea brewing properly.
You wouldn't put milk in a teapot would you now????

Brewed properly in a pot, reasonably strong, dash of milk, no sugar.

Never, ever in a cup/mug/glass, too inconsistent, and the milk blocks the teabag holes anyway.

Actually, that is at home.

I only drink water at work since I much prefer to sit down and enjoy a nice cup of tea, or coffee if the mood takes me.

Milk no sugar seems very popular, I wonder if that's because sugar always seems to end up damp in the workshop and full of grinding dust .

My boss makes up for us having no sugar with his, anywhere between 2-10 spoons dependant on his mood and if we deem he needs a lift

He drank it, and never said a word....few weeks later, made a cup for my sister..... same pot, 2 spoonfuls.

I done the same when in a unformilular workshop nearly got it thrown over me.

I know if someone has stirred my tea with a spoon that has stired one with sugar in completely spoils it.

I made someone a coffee once.... 3 tablespoons of coffee and 8 sugars.... He drank 2 mugs of it....

The caffeine hit was something to witness apparently.....

I dont like strong tea,
I used to take 4 sugars and more if people forgot if sugared or not then got up one morning and stopped, I didnt like it for a few weeks especially coffee but now cant drink it with it.

An apprentice I worked with some time ago had his tea milkey with 5 sugars, I stoped putting the tea bag in and he never noticed the difference.

The only time I have tea in a pot, and served in a glass is when i partake of Persian tea.

Served hot and sweet, no milk. A lovely amber colour.

I worked with a guy called Matt on some housing estate cutting off door canopies. He is a bit club-footed so I did the leg-work fetching tower sections and he would erect the tower. Invariably we would get offered tea and the bleeder would ALWAYS tell them I took sugar when I can't stand sugary tea.
One time I made him fetch the stuff and the old biddy came out and asked me if we wanted a cuppa. I said no sugar for me but my mate has to have 2 spoons of salt because he has a liver complaint. She said "Do you know I thought there was something wrong with him". I could hardly contain myself as she measured out the salt in the spoon and made me tell her when to say stop

Got a tassisimo coffee machine in my workshop, but mostly a brew with tea bags, milk no sugars. I'll have a coffee when I feel posh or need a hit to keep going in the small hours, the same way, real milk no sugar, cant stand the stuff that comes in the machines pods.
I cant get to the brew area at the moment as the area is full of lumps of bridgeport cnc mill, but I haven't had as much time to spend in there as I want anyway so don't want to waste precious time contemplating with a brew. I don't have a chair or stool in my main workshop for the same reason.

I only drink coffee at work, another tassimo user. Posh coffee is a nice treat.
I wont drink instant these days. Mine is black no sugar.

Coffee at home, either gold blend with one sugar and milk or a tassimo (Costa latte's at the minute)

On jobs it's either tea as most people can make a good cup, or due to the work I'm doing I politely decline more often than not, due to the skanky houses, can't drink in a dirty house

Always decline a cuppa in a skanky house. Would rather go and purchase a beverage elsewhere.

I've got used to microwaving tea in my current job, example on Friday, just taken first sip when we got called to a conveyor motor fault, got back to base 3 hours later.
