Last night I had my first encounter with brushable seam sealer. I'm using Dinitrol Brushseal 401. I put it on with a brush and tried to smooth it out as best as I could, but the finish is still fairly rough.
If you are familiar with the VW T25 van, you will know that there is a thick coating of rubbery sealant under the wheel arches. I have done some welded repairs and replaced a wheel arch, so I am trying to use seam sealer and blend it in with the edge of the old rubbery coating.
What techniques can you use to get a decent finish on this stuff?
