Our chimney cowl got damaged during the recent storms. Today has been the first decent day I have had to get up on the roof and sort it. 15 min job at most. That’s me just off the roof started at noon. Whilst up there spotted a broken tile, I’ll fix that while I’m here. I should of left it! For some reason I couldn’t get the nail ripper thingy to hook onto the nails. Maybe to gentle, anyhow decided it’s coming off one way or the other. Got the nails out, new tile wouldnt slide back in. Put little wedges to give me a wee bit more wiggle room. Flipping thing got stuck, wiggle wiggle heave, more heave, a few sweary words, neighbour giving me the stares. Gave the tile a slap with the palm of my hand and it slid into place. Why couldn’t it have done that in the first place?
