My mate runs a light engineering firm and it's always tidy. Every job, every operation gets cleaned up afterwards or as-you-go. You might think it would make for poor efficiency, but the opposite is actually the case - they have developed a regime where tidying behind you is second nature and it really pays off. Everything is put back in it's place each time it's used and everything is found where it's supposed to be. Even behind the guillotine is cleaned after each job is cut.

Sounds like an OCD problem to me But on a more serious note I do try to keep things relatively tidy, Everything has a home. But you definitely wouldn't eat your dinner off my garage floor
