I don't own anything with that many buttons
I use a fan heater in the tailgate and have a socket fitted outside the garage /workshop, good thing with this is it's warm to get into and the screen doesn't steam up as soon as you drive off. Don't know if I will be able to afford it now though with electricity prices as they areI used to have a 500w halogen light which I'd put on the seat at night with an extension lead ran into the house, I'd switch it on when I got up and by the time I was dressed and ready to leave for work the windows would be clear and the interior nice and toasty.
I couldn't leave it running unattended because it was beside a busy road
i just give mine a bit of a pull to crack the ice of em i dont work the leccy windows open neither and loosen the wipers off as wellI have to tip it over the daft self folding wing mirrors too im frightened if the motors try to fold them out when frozen something will let go
and slide on the ice killing the watering cant ,,,I use hot tap water, in a watering can with a sprinkler rose. I walk right around the car doing all windows and lights. Works a treat. Off I go on my journey, then come back, park in the same spot, and slip over on the skating ring I'd previously created.
I now leave the watering can on the drive where I can see it upon my return, just to remind me!
I have to admit that standing on the bonnet in snow/icy conditions is a bit dodgy when you get on a bit and it also causes a few raised eyebrows from passers by.We use hot water, and a glug of meths in the screenwash keeps it clear while driving.
Pee works. Though I might have to pee into a bucket first these days![]()
Trousers?I don't own anything with that many buttons
Reminds me of Jasper Carrot's sketch about BRMB and Ed Dolan in particular. From my post @09:51 this morning on the alsohol defrosting thread:
Quote ”Best initial clearing of frost is cold or warm water - not too hot or screen cracking can occur (or spread if surface is already chipped). Better still is an engine or car warming system - cheap enough on E7 electricity.” Unquote.
Now we have a whole thread on it. Whoopee.
