My wife wants one due to muscular pain, that’s something I have myself sometimes with lower back pain.
Heat does help, so it’s not so much for relaxing purposes. Otherwise it’s not something I Would even consider, but I know from others that it does help that.
So it’s worth a try at least. I know from my personal experiences a hot bath helps my lower back pain and a hot tub is maybe a step above.

They seem to start at about £1200 but for the amount of water this holds (1600 litres - ish) I reckon on the 7.2KW unit which is £1800 with the right plumbing kit
What I can't seem to decide is, am I better off fitting a few of those 400w solar panels instead? They are down to about £1 per watt at the moment. The heater is 5kw so I'm not going to cover all of it, but if I could produce 3 to 4KW during daylight hours that would pretty much come out the same as a heat pump.
Of course, if money were no object I would do both. Or neither, cos I wouldn't care about the electric bill.

I have just built (lashed) this up.
An old pasting table, an old 15m length of airline and some perspex.
It heats water to almost too hot to touch straight from the tap but at a very low flow rate.
More insulation on the back and pipe needed!

Just remember that's 15 meters of pipe and it's nowhere near enough to fill the space.
I'm looking at wrapped 3/8" copper around a chimney of a wood burner next that will hopefully heat up much better!
You can get panels for about 40p per watt but need other bits to go with them.

Is that for making your own legionella?
Now when it come to medical type stuff I quite like the CDC web site as its accurate and informative, its has Hot tubs in the top 3 for legionella

It's more of an experiment but I'm pretty sure the water was hot enough to kill legionella...
The tub in the photo is just the paddling pool and my boy is very strict on the chemicals and testing.
If the water borne disease doesn't get them my bbq will!

you can have bigger of these within a stove and have 3 of them one either side and one at the rear

this is how they work
a few advantages with these stoves is you can use them outside or inside
and you can also use primary air heated and secondary air heated but not both at same time secondary air you can bank the fire down and use the secondary heated air to heat up the chimney giving longer burns its too hot to have both in use so its not good for masonary stoves unless you use heat bricks at the top that can be replaced
advatages to this is you can use anyone of the above except where you have a hot tub reference as the water will still get even hotter
now you can use a cover over firebrick on the third option to stop the heat getting to the boiler on either side x2
there is another place where you can add another 2 heaters but i aint going to tell you that one yet

I've got 100m of cheap hosepipe running over the roof of my shed(s) which gets water from my IBC hot tub nicely over 35 degrees. Feed from a 10 quid ebay pump. Had a panel like that last year but recycled the ply into the side of the hot tub. Also have a wood fired rocket stove boiler thing to heat it.

I wasn't worried about when its running it will be when it first starts and when it stops, unless its free draining?
