hot plate

Im thinking of building a new bar-b=q for the garden a brick built one
the bar-b-q side will not be a problem. th bit i will have probs with is I intend to build a hot plate thats gas powered like the ones in burger bars in theose trailers you see in laybys.Building the hot plate is not the prob its the gas burner.Are thes an off the shelf item or are they built.Im hope some one on here has made one before

you can get such a thing, try a camping/carravanning supplies place. theres always the huge ones used for heating bitumen as well, but that could be a bit viscious

Hi. Go to the local dump and try to find a gas bbq, remove the burner which is quite a simple system and refit under your hot plate, Voila job done.

Google 'outback bbq spares'. Loads of hits. Looks like a burner can be got for something in the region of a tenner (and no doubt 20 quid P&P ).
