What is the difference between a hot-trigger and a cold-trigger? Any help would be appreciated..

thanks Justme, not sure if it means the same thing or not. The catalogue that i was looking in for a Mig welder had Migs with hot or cold triggers.

Its a Deca, Decastar 150, costs around $550.00 (canadian). For what I will be doing with it, it should be ok. But i need to know about the hot or cold triggers. i do know that some have power on the wire at all times while others don't have power until you push the trigger, and i would prefer the one that doesn't.
