34c registered in the van today.
No idea how hot it was in the landfill at the bottom of the site.
But the tools here almost to hot to handle.
One dome camera, in direct sunlight, the perplex cover was soft enough to deform when we removed it to clean.

My new workshop will have full air con for summer...and heating for winter. ****** to these temps
You could pull the trays replace them with a cushion and pull up the computer station!Have discovered that a great way of cooling down is to stand naked in front of an open fridge. The only down side is a Police caution and I’m now banned from every Aldi in the country.

Not often as hot as this, admittedly.
End of May last year, had a multi-drop run from Ullapool to Lewis, Harris, North Uist and Benbecula. Monday morning in Ullapool the temperature was 30+ degrees, didn’t change much all week. Barely a cloud in the sky all week, and sneaked 4 cracking dives in while waiting for ferries.

Welding right next to a big paint oven thing (I can imagine it's probably lovely in winter) the best I can do is a hoody and a t-shirt, rather take the occasional burn
Must add they have provided one of those large industrial fans to each welder, problem is you can't actually face it towards you or you blow away the gas

Sadly, it didn’t.
The rest of the group I was staying with were a dive club from Carlisle, the noisiest bunch it’s been my misfortune to meet, and thanks to them and every barking dog in Kinlochbervie I didn’t get a wink of sleep all night! At about 04.30 on Monday morning, realising the rest of the week would be just as bad, I gave up and drove home, packed some camping gear in the van and spent the rest of the week at the Tan Hill Inn in the Yorkshire Dales.
Got a seriously good row from OH for it, but the week turned out ok in the end. Had some great walks on the Pennine Way and the adjacent moorland, and stopped at Ravenseat Farm, home to Amanda Owen of “Yorkshire Sheperdess” and tv’s “Our Yorkshire Farm” fame. Finished the week by paying a visit to Low Birk Hatt Farm in Baldersdale, one time home of the late Hannah Hauxwell, one of the most inspirational people I’ve ever seen. If you think life is hard, search the ‘net for “A winter too long”...
