@Kent not had any pull out and the first ones been in a year nearly. No different to using threaded bar with a nut as long as it's down flat to the wall top or whatever. I've used ratchet straps to hold say a handrail down hard. I normally do the usual plate with holes for the studs and then a nut on top to pull tight.

It is if you can't torque up a nut on top. Still doing a job presently were I am using it to fasten some railing bottoms in through it will be conventionally fastened with stud and m10 cap heads at either end. I have had a few Resin fixings fail early days and the last thing I need is an accident but like I say watching this space, you can be the Guinea pig

We did some strain testing of some barriers a few years ago... M24 studs, 300mm in the ground, Hilti resin.... Concrete started to give way, pulling cone shapes out of the concrete if we carried on pulling. It was tough ol concrete too.

Can't add much to what Kent said, just check the stuff is in date and stored properly...don't keep it in the van all winter.

When it is cold out, put the tubes in the cab to get them up to temperature to shorten cure time.

Impressive! I'm surprised how effective the glue is, I thought it would be weaker than an expanding bolt with all the dust and muck in the hole. I wish I had seen this before I fitted my gates and cracked a brick with a rawl bolt too close to the edge.

It's imperative you clean the dust out or resin might as well be chocolate, it just slips out. Some of them advise washing the hole out, but I've only seen it on one type. Most just say blow / brush it out very well

Yes and no, it depends on which application resin you use, how you drill and prep the hole, and if you use sleeving with cavity installations. Do it correctly and it is many times better, do it wrong and you may as well use super glue.

I lost my hole cleaning brush when doing some resin anchors so I used an old 6mm long series spade bit from my drill box and attached about 30 small cable ties to the end, it worked a treat.

On some sites, mainly listed buildings, we have to use resin fixings.
My install team uses cans of air, the ones used to clean computer equipment. The have made different fittings to suit the different holes, to blow out the detritus.

Easy to carry up a ladder, fit into pockets and cleans safety goggles of a treat.

They tend to use the "Rawplug" resin mix, mainly that's what our supplier stocks. We only had 2 assurances of failure, one was a duff batch. It mixed OK, but would not each fur hardness. "Rawplug" supplied 2 new box's on an over night courier.

The second one was in a building in Bath, the basement was reported as dry and ready for work. They went in, fixed everything and all seamed good. But after a few weeks the fixings, studs and metal work started to pull if the walls and ceilings. Complete with resin mix.

After investigation, yes the basement was tanked. But unbeknown to everyone it had failed and floor level. The holes what had bean drilled allowed moisture to creep up, that was then seeping round the resin. The resin had cured, but not bonded, so failed.

So site owners had to spend a lot more money than they had planned to rectify this issue before the system could be installed.

You can actually get the rechargeable cans for cleaning out holes, you have a compressor with a manifold and screw several onto the manifold and open the valve, from memory they were charged to around 40 PSI.

Draper do one - pretty rubbish though as they are expensive and it lasts no time at all, they charge to 6 bar or something like that so won't last long.

Make an 'Air Pig' out of an old propane bottle, though perhaps not if it is for work and you have to be seen to be doing things correctly.
