I agree a refurb would be nice to doThats not the worst, just sold my truck so finances arent a problem..and it would fit in my van, d..n, know must control myself, get a old one to refurb, I will enjoy that more,i will,iwill........
Interesting......I know a guy been in the bike business for decades, retired because his wife was ill, he has a load of old bikes in bits I doubt he will ever get round to doing anything with them
his place is pilled high with bike bitsInteresting......
I will have to see if I can make time to visit him in the next week or so, whether he will part with any of them I don't know, cant remember exactly what he hasWell a complete bike/project would be of interest..maybe you could let me know, before the hoards on here read this and start beating a path to him through your door. i think that 2500 is a starting price thoughIn reality at 2500 that s3 isnt bad. Based on experience itll be another 2500 to make it perfect.
As for a set of pipes......they are expensive in any condition....scratch removal and rechrome cost me 700 quid 5 years ago.
Buy iy you know you want too!
I once had a conversation with a gambler. He told me how he was not an addict, then went on to discribe his betting... A classic description of addictive gambling...
Bikes do seem to have similar tendancies![]()
Well I read this to late, hopefully it will be re run, sounds good. ThanksUncanny this - according to the Quest channel which is running 'Twist the throttle' series today, the first Honda 'Dream' was the Honda D-type from 1949, just one year after the modern company was founded. There's a +1 channel on Freeview if anyone wants to catch the Honda hour which is playing right now. So far today I've watched Ducati, BMW, Kawasaki and now Honda.
was a later dream model 250,maybe a cb250, I know as I got the brochure at the time, it had a tube frame by then, beutifull bike, by the time I had my cb 175 in the motorcycle news they had just released pre production models of the triumph and bsa 350 models, decided I would get one but they folded.
they were cracking looking bikes.Arther
not to use a brass cup brush to clean up alloy brakes...left me with a lot of scratches
...I'm now using various grades of wet and dry to polish it smooth again. The bike is almost stripped...I plan to get the frame shotblasted (anyone local to me be able to do this?) and then start to rebuild the cycle parts and leave the motor until last.
