Snap em easy enough cutting wood mate. Their not strong when used in that orientation. Always snap off where the blade thinsI doubt you’ll chip a Stanley knife blade by rubbing it on brass.![]()

Take a few minutes to grind up a small form tool. Bit of donkeysaw blade would fare better or just a bit of 6mm tool steel.You need a gentle touch, like the chess piece guy.![]()
