I borrowed a large trammel type cutter from a sparkie, he said it would be great for letting in speakers on a MF ceiling, it was great until I found one of the top hats and almost broke my wrist... I quickly reverted to a pad saw and tin snips, much to his amusement.Years. Ago I saw a sort of trammel thing that cut any size holes in thin sheet. Lots of these tools have disappeared from use though so not sure if they are still available
I mean you could use these on ducting jobs!
Makes me sound old but it's got to be thirty years or more back

I have a trammel made for using with a hand brace. I used it recently to cut a hole in a plastic barrel - a very tedious job involving quite a lot of swearing. It will only ever be used if I'm really really stuck!

Back in the tobacco tin I found it in. Best place for it!
