Hole flares

Anyone got any experience with these?
I'm looking to make a custom front valance for the car and thinking of flaring holes in it for a unique look, trouble is all the ones i can find online so suitable for upto 1mm whereas i want to flare 1.6mm anyone ever tried this?

They are rated to 1mm, but smaller ones will go to 1.2, one way of doing it could be to interchange the punch and die, to give you a bigger clearance between the two.

Can you not make an insert panel in 1mm/1.2mm with the holes in and set it into the thicker stuff. 1.6mm is bloody thick to flare wthout a damn big press. Even the bodywork on my chevy is only 1.2mm thick.
