Sometimes you have to save it then worry about housing it later! Before this gets all silly.
I am a collector. I collect a lot...because I can. Some are under tarps. But I also restore mine. If they get used or not is irrelevant . I own them...and if people cant get over that then I really couldn't give a flying fuk.
Hiab wagonHow are you going to get the Monarch home pressbrake1?

You had better not leave the C15 under a tarp spencer427?, or we will have to send the Holbrook police round.

No problem once I get it homeI might beg a favour once you get it... Mine's missing the little legend plate at the bottom of the QCGB telling you to move to out before changing, take a mould in silicone or even plasticene? makes it look incomplete...

Your more than welcome to call.I'll be calling if so - as I can only fit a C13 in at mine I won't bring a trailer and winch... just a clue-by-four

Always had great results with electrolysis. One word: Electrolysis.
Seriously, the steady is a big plus, Holbrook parts are as rare as rocking-horse droppings (and that's definitely a Holbrook steady, it has elegance about its lines). Take the bronze fingers out before you dunk it in your Egbert* though!

* Electrolytic Gungy Bubbling Encrustation Removal Tank
Always had great results with electrolysis.
Found it best to remove parts regularly and scrub before sticking it back in. Works a lot quicker than leaving it in and hoping for the bestm
Ah Interesting. I'd avoided a stainless basket so farAnd ideally use graphite plates as the anodes, not steel (definitely not *stainless!), I've not had to change 'em for a year and no brown gunge or scraping barnacles off their bottoms
I use a (*stainless wire) chip basket for odd bolts, nuts etc. so I don't have to clip to them individually, give it the occasional shake and it makes halfway-decent contact.

* safe as long as it's not the anode, can't put hexavalent chromium into the solution
