Sounds like the porcupine out here I believe they are protected as well, back when I took my hunting course we were told that they were one of the things you could eat raw if you were lost in some area.![]()
HOW TO COOK A HEDGEHOG - Delices de Provence
Before you start Googling the number for the RSPCA let me point out that hedgehogs are listed as a protected species and unless you scrape one off the M6, I am in no way encouraging you to eat one. If you’re interested in just how you would go about cooking Mrs Tiggywinkle for Sunday lunch...delicesdeprovence.co.uk
We're in Maine, and porcupines can be found everywhere around here. A couple of days ago, I pulled at least a dozen porcupine quills out of the tires of my truck...probably hit a bit of road kill with it, as I haven't hit any live ones (yet). No native hedgehogs here, but people are starting to keep them as house pets.Sounds like the porcupine out here I believe they are protected as well, back when I took my hunting course we were told that they were one of the things you could eat raw if you were lost in some area.
Possibly a fish based cat food. Try a meat one or dog food.Saw a real big one the other night in my Dad's back garden. The carer put cat food out but it turned it's nose up at it.
