Hobbyweld to 4mm

I've googled this for a while and found a few people asking the same question, so here goes:

I have the following:

Clarke Mig with 4mm pipe and disposable gas cylinder regulator.

Nice Hobbyweld cylinder.

Is there some adaptor to connect he hobbyweld cylinder to the exisiting regulator?

The HobbyWeld has a 5/8 BSP and the Clarke has a 4mm pipe.

I assume I need to re-use the regulator as the HobbyWeld cylinder has no pressure regulator.

What do I need to buy to connect the two?

You CAN NOT use this regulator with hobbyweld cylinder.! Hobbyweld cylinders are filled up to 160 bar pressure if memory serves me right, disposable ones a lot less, I'm not sure about exact numbers, I think it's about 20 bar. Do not try to find or make any adaptor !. You need to get regulator that is suitable for this type of cylinder. The're not very expensive

If I understood your post right you have low pressure disposable cylinder with regulator and high pressure proper cylinder with no regulator. Once again you CAN NOT use this regulator on that hobbyweld cylinder!

but some have had trouble with the connector but the length is handy when being long

You will need that adaptor from picture posted by snooper for connecting two different sizes of gas pipe ( 4mm from your welder to bigger diameter going to your new regulator)

No you need a regulator to fit the hobbyweld cylinder
