I can smell that Patchouli oil from here.
Two friends of mine, One was & still is a hippy, he dropped out of uni back in the late 70's early 80's & hung about with the peace convoy for a while.
Always reckoned they were hard done by & that the police went way over the top at the "Battle of the beanfield".
The other guy is a retired policeman, he was also there & said it was one of the best days out he has ever had!
I doubt i will ever introduce them to each other.

Well documented. Channel four I think had a film crew there but the footage was never shown due to government pressure. The local (tory) Lord was so disgusted he gave them refuge on his land and refused to let the cops in.
