I always found Bacons were good - they didn't have a clue what they had in or what it was worth, but they would leave you to it and when you walked out it was always "a fiver mate" even if you were carrying half a car.
They just recently closed, I guess self storage is more profitable.
No idea where the next nearest decent one is. I used to go to a specialist guy over at Norwich but he closed down a few years back too.
Online guys know exactly how much they can charge for a part, and that's all you will get.
They are no good if you trying to upgrade or retrofit something and need all the little original unobtanium clips, whatsits and doodaas.
It is good they are trying to recycle more of the car, but I get a feeling that unless it is a fast moving part for a modern vehicle, it is going to go in the crusher - so finding that gold mine of an unusual classic doner tucked in the corner of the yard will be a thing of the past.
