So I started out with Ronseal “One Coat” grey paint. 12L tub. Jelly like consistency and required a good 3 or 4 coats to get a decent colour. Crap paint, run could practically wash it off.
Now I’m on to Cuprinol Ducksback also in grey and it’s a much better paint, but still requiring a good 3 coats. Having to water down the first coat about 10% otherwise the panels just suck the paint in.
This is 5L tubs for about £20 in B&Q.
I’m going to buy one more 5L tub of Cuprinol, to finish the fences all the same colour.
But next year, is there something better I could use?
My uncle is a decorator currently doing one of our rooms and he was showing me the difference between the Dulux EasyCare you get from B&Q (£32) and the Dulux Diamond (£45) he instructed me to get from the decorator centre.
It’s a completely different quality paint! And as such only requires two coats instead of the three/four coats required in the room I decorated.
