high frequency is gone

Hi guys and gals a question for you all my thermal 175 te has lost its high frequency start still got the lift option I'm alright with it I just prefer high frequency nicer any ideals why it's stopped

Does it have an adjustment that needs resetting ? My Stel has a gap that has to be set like the points on an old distributor to initiate the high frequency arc. Look through the manual or online for information on where it is in your machine.

mine only done this last week dropped it into where i got it and the plug was damaged couldnt see any damage on it but it needed replacing

I was afraid of this I would drop it in to where I brought it he is to expensive so I might just buy a new plug

Hmmm just looked at a plug price 25 quid might be worth me servicing the old girl she's had a hard 3 years so if it's damaged to much I'll just wait for her to give up the good fight and look in to something else I still got a mig tropic tig plant just to bulky for me.to use

Unfortunately doesn't tell you where it is inside the case but may be worth having a look first

Cheers for that it doesn't say much I'm gunna use a electronic tester push the button see if there's life from plug to switch then work my way through if it's a plug I might just purchase a new torch leed and buy a new plug if it's that adjustable frequency thing I'll just adjust it if I can't find out anything I'll save up for a new one might buy the 201 acdc one

It works again must of just been a bad connection I think I will need a new plug at some stage
