High build primer application

I have changed from cellulose to 2k on my mini project, I used high build primer and risked a gerson mask, now I am painting the top coat have invested in airfed, but as I only have a 3hp clarke industrial compressor I am painting the car with my devilbiss sri pro, to be honest its doing a very good job and my compressor is ok with this and the mask. Now my problem is when I have finished this I have another to paint and need to get a low cfm gun for primer.
Have looked around and found this lvlp gun

Has anyone used one and is it any good,
I know using my sri is not ideal and is slower than a gti but I can live with that, and my current primer gun is a 2.0mm that uses about 10cfm so I know it doesn't stand a chance

what are you using for lipid separation out of interest? I plumped a carbon filter into my system for feeding the mask. Just wondering what others have done.

I have one of those guns. They still require a lot of air to work and air requirements will outstrip your compressor. My 10cfm hydrogen works OK with it, just!

You would be better with a smaller nozzle and work slower. The gun I got is part of a kit with 1.3-1.8mm nozzles. The 1.4mm works well. I also use a small .8mm 100ml mini gun for smaller sections.

I may just get another sri used with 1.4 needle and keep for primer as they are superb guns to use, I can still use a gti for base coats as I don't need airfed with that. I have my compressor sited in separate garage hard piped with drop legs then a 5 micron filter regulator followed by a devilbiss coalescing filter, then the carbon filter in belt.
I do get water in the filter regulator but nothing noticeable in hose to the belt as I use clear hose and water would be easy to spot. I would like an air cooler though after compressor to reduce even further just waiting for something to crop up at a good price.

Why not get a 2nd compressor for the mask? Would not have to be that big maybe a oil free one would be suitable.

Have a look at drop out filters. Brilliant.

I have one of the DO300 units plus a carbon filter and get breathing grade air.

I am a SCUBA fill station so we test our own air and I have tested the workshop it with this set up and it's clean and dry.

Lipid pneumonia is not to be taken lightly.
