HiFi seperate with bluetooth

I have a trusty old HiFi separate system in the lounge with gear from the 70s right through to the 2000s. The speakers are excellent. What it doesn't have is an ability to stream from my phone.

I know I can buy a gizmo that will dangle at the back of the amp and receive Bluetooth but I'd like a smart separate that will sit on one of the shelves.

It looks like there are some Bluetooth/DAB/Internet radios out there that would suit. Is anyone on here using anything similar that they'd recommend?

I found this. Never heard of the make but sounds like a UK based company perhaps (probably made in China but what isn't these days?)?

I remember getting it for less but I've got one of these to work as the 'bluetooth channel' on my Rega Brio. Works great but my only niggle is no power button except for disconnecting and reconnecting the cord in the back. It does go to sleep eventually I think.

The best option really is a dongle that plugs into the Aux port.

I use an Earstudio ES100 headphone DAC/amp connected to my old 70s hifi in the garage, it works perfectly.
It is no longer available but these FiiO ones get great reviews and will do exactly what you need for not a lot of money.

You'll just need a 3.5mm to twin RCA cable to connect to any unused line-level input.

similar reference for me with seperates but i went jack plug to phono sockets

however head phones audio sound isnt loud enough so went pc based and the sound amps up using vlc media

whilst bluetooth is used you also have to think about power as both the phone and bluetooth is using power so drains said battery faster hence the reason why i went down the phono adapter

ive got the same jack socket to rca connection however pc needs a stereo to mono output that some players have or you can split one audio into 2 rca sockets as some recordings are not true stereo sounds

My system is plenty loud enough.

ive used a few things to connect via the seperate stereo systems from a phone or even an ipod whilst the phone wont go loud enough on the sound to equal a cd playing or even a tape playing the sound from the ipod will however that got hacked to increase the sound volume it outputs to the headphones socket

pc is the same however with the players you can adjust the output volume a bit vlc and winamp allows you to higher the output volume pcs volume 100 percent vlc is 100 percent but with an adjustment in vlcs settings allows the output volume even higher mines set at 150

like the phones ability to store/play music the same can be said with the ipod however the pc gives me many albums to play with the same setup but sometimes a usb storage device to a usb player/bluetooth connection would be better

then its finding the same device that is seperates for the old system to match with but for what ive seen is expensive and to be honest a pc is worth it anyway as you can also build mini pc for the same thing i just connect up the main lcd screen and use it that way instead

All I've got is my Earstudio headphone amp (which is about the size of a matchbox), with a 3.5mm lead in it's headphone socket connected to the AUX RCA input of my old 70s receiver.
Just two simple items needed for perfect bluetooth integration, headphone amp and lead, that's it.

I just ordered the deck I linked to above from Richer Sounds. It seems to have everything I wanted and a bit more. And it will fill a gap nicely on my shelves with the other kit. I'll report back when it arrives.
