I have been reading this site for a while and have posted a couple of comments but felt an introduction was overdue. I have used a mig for car repairs and other odds and sods around the house for quite a few years now.I owe thanks to this site for putting me on to boc's "volksworld" gas deal.
As time has passed and my welding improved I have welded as a restorer rather than an mot repairer. As a result I own a Van den plas 4litre R, a 1978 Ford Bronco and a BMW 635csi.Not to mention my Ford econoline that's getting on a bit now.
I was an electrician so welding has always been a hobby, though doing mot work has come in handy for pocket money.Unfortunately just over 6 years ago I had an accident at work and as a result now suffer from a very bad back and neck and my projects have slowed right up.I'm stuck with only being able to do small amounts each day in the warm weather if I feel up to it.
Still enough of that, the problem I have at the moment is whether to buy a plasma cutter, and more importantly what one.I want one to take the work out of cutting literally because it's something that I don't fine at all easy anymore.I was thinking of the IFL cut40 that's advertised on this site but everyone seems to be talking about an Eastwood machine or another machine called a cut 40. I am really confused and would appreciate some help from you wiser folk.
