What welder etc..

Hi Zardoz,good to hear from you,I'm new to this computer stuff so unable to do pics. i.e. no camera & no knowledge yet.Seem to have jumped overnight from the 19th century to the 21st century.The welder is a Nexus NXT200,which I believe is manufactured by Migatronic.It has the advantage of square wave ac technology which is great for ally repairs,plus the usual bells and buzzers of slope in and out,background current,adjustable cleaning/penetration plus loads of other features which I don't really need.I've used tig in the past with foot control,this has control on the torch,which is proving a bit tricky to get used to.Regards,Mad Mick.

looks a very nice range. I have only done TIG a few times, but that was with a foot pedal. I can imagine the torch button for control, slope etc is a bit of a pain to get used to. Sort of like a gamepad controller with too many buttons on it. The foot pedal just seems a natural thing as one is used to synchronizing hands and feet whilst driving i suppose.

by the way thats a good website for the machines, it includes some very interesting technical manuals for download and perusal. is interesting to observe that the insides of the NXT200 AC/DC looks to a large extent like a state of the art computer!
