found this forum when searching for info on a genset i am working on and thought i could definatly learn a thing or two from this site, also pretty sure i have bought stuff from weldequip in the past

Hi Jason, welcome aboard. Is the genset for showing or using?, I have a couple of stationary engines.

we are going to use it, got a building site that needs lighting etc , and it will be sited in an old transformer hut once used by the electric company, had the engine running fine, may need rings as its a bit of a pig to start once warmed up, but the generator was not producing good power, had a good look inside and found badly worn brushes and iffy slip rings, made new brushes and cleaned the slip rings up, just need to put it back together properly and test it again
