Hi all,
Just thought I'd introduce myself,I'm a newbie to this welding lark having bought myself a second hand 150 amp mig a couple of weeks ago.I found this forum for help with the basics and managed to weld a new outrigger on my old Landrover last weekend .It looked quite good after a bit of swearing, even if I say so myself.
Great site,just what I need to stop me pulling out the little bit of hair I've got left on the top of my head!!!

Nice to see you. It is indeed a great site. Love the name (I think we have all resorted to a big spanner at some point!), any queries please drop me, or any of the other great minds of experience a line.

Thought you meant the name of the site at first - didn't think I'd been all that imaginative.

We had a possy of Landrover people round at the farm last year to do a chassis swap on a S3 LWB over a weekend. Every one of them brought around a hammer bigger than any I have.

Glad you're getting the hang of MIG and the site was helpful. Let me know if there is anything missing - I'm making a list of things to write about during my summer off (if it ever happens).
