Hi, my first post here after reading a few posts.
For a couple of years now I've had a little Maypole Gasless Mig sitting in the shed. It's done a couple of jobs but isnt big enough to do much. I was playing with it mainly to get used to moving my hand the right way.
Anyway, a mate has just had a new welder so passed me his Cebora Pocket Turbo 130.
The handle has snapped off the top but no big deal, the torch seems to work fine despite him losing a screw and wrapping tape around the bottom of it to hold it together and the earth clamp looks a bit ropey.
He's done a fair bit of work with it but it seems fine.
My questions are..
Is this welder capable of doing bodywork and chassis work on a Transit and bodywork/ chassis on Land Rovers (aluminium bodywork)
Also, what sort/ size gas do I need?
Anything else I need?
I'll probably spend a couple of months just playing with it trying to get decent welds before actually taking a torch to the car/ van but only bother if the welder is up to the job though.
What's the general opinion of these welders?
Sorry for all the questions.
Cheers in advance
Mark
