Firstly hello everybody, been reading this forum/site for a while and it's been very useful with great practical advice
Recently bought my first MIG and I love it, it's like using a glue gun after the stick welder I had before. Can't wait to get on with some proper projects.
However I think there may be a problem with my regulator, it's the plastic clarke one for a disposable bottle. In the instructions it reccomends gas setting 3-4 for general welding but I don't get any gas at all unless it's on maximum (think it's number 6). It seems to weld fine on this setting but I don't really want to be using more gas than I need.
Is this a regulator problem or are they just 'on or off' and the numbers are a lie!?
