Brilliant website and forum guys, well done! I have mig wielded in the dim distant past at a very NOVICE level, if the internet had been about then this website would have saved me hours of grief LOL.
Anyway I have to fabricate some chaises extensions for my old campervan. These are roughly just 70mm/185mm/500mm by 3mm thick box sections with some plates on the end.
Do you have any tips for butt wielding 3mm steel at right angles? Should I strive to leave a gap or a slight overlap at the joints? Any ideas would be most welcome.
